Montgomery County Community Service Staff Recognition Reception

Stephanie Sugg, Tim Wiens, Roger Berliner, Kendall Rose-Gregg On Monday night October 19, 2009 Roger Berliner, Vice President of the Montgomery County Council and Jubilee Support Counselor Kendall Rose-Gregg were each presented with the Community Builder Award for their work on behalf of people who have developmental disabilities. Councilmember Berliner has helped Jubilee and its clients, as well as all people who have developmental disabilities in Montgomery County in many ways. He was a leader in preventing cuts from County funding for services to people with developmental disabilities, he has come to many Jubilee events and he has supported Jubilee requests for grant funding from the County. Councilmember Berliner has a nephew who has Asperger Syndrome and so he is personally familiar with the needs of this population. Kendall was instrumental in helping a client that Jubilee serves to move out of her parent’s home and into her own apartment. This move has transformed the life of this individual as well as her family in extremely positive ways.
