Rolando and Kristofer Sanz

A holiday concert was held at Ohr Kodesh Congreation in Chevy Chase, MD on Saturday, November 28 to benefit Jubilee. Opera Tenor Rolando Sanz sang classical opera, jazz, and songs of Hebrew origin and was accompanied by his brother, saxophonist Kristofer Sanz and pianist  Joy Schreier. Over 225 people attended the concert and everyone who attended was very impressed with the quality of the music and the particular music selections.

Rolando Sanz’s cousin is served by Jubilee and his aunt, Graciela Sanz is on the Board of Directors of the Jubilee Foundation. Graciela Sanz said that Jubilee provides invaluable services to the developmental disability community and I feel honored that members of my family are donating their talents to benefit such a great organization as Jubilee.

Rolando Sanz

Tenor Rolando Sanz is quickly gaining recognition. In the 2008-2009 season, Rolando debuted with Opera Idaho as Nemorino in L’elisir d’Amore, and will debut with Baltimore Concert Opera in “A Flight of Verdi” in 2010. Rolando is a graduate of the Yale University School of Music.

Kristofer Sanz, Rolando Sanz, Joy Schreier

Saxophonist Kristofer Sanz is Director of Instrumental Music at Winston Churchill High School in Potomac, Maryland. In 2008, he led the Churchill orchestra on an Italian tour where they performed a series of concerts at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Peter the Apostle in Rome. Kristofer Sanz is graduate of the University Of Maryland School of Music.

Joy Schreier has served as official pianist for the Metropolitan Opera National Council and received her doctorate in Accompanying and Chamber Music in 2003 at the Eastman School of Music.
