Core Values Seminars Celebrate One Year of Learning

One year ago, Jubilee launched its Core Values monthly seminars to educate and strengthen our community. We’re celebrating the one-year anniversary of this unique program and looking ahead to deepening our understanding of how our values shape Jubilee.

“These seminars started as a passion project back when we were still only meeting virtually,” shared Julia McCune, Jubilee’s Director of Community Engagement. “We quickly realized that people were hungry to learn more and to really wrestle with topics like human dignity and self-determination. It’s inspiring to see how deeply our staff care about the work they do here, and how they are eager to connect their work to Jubilee’s core values.”

Over the course of 12 seminars, 154 people participated in sessions about Jubilee’s core values. Staff who completed every learning session received a certificate and a merit increase.

“This program really struck a chord with our community,” said Melanie Moore, Jubilee’s Learning and Development Manager. “We’re excited to grow the program in year two with new quarterly meetings that will provide an opportunity to engage with the core values on a deeper level.”

Jubilee encourages all staff and people we support to participate in our upcoming seminars. Details can be found each month on our online events calendar.
