COVID Protocols Updated, Vaccinations Increase

Statement by: Steve Keener, Jubilee Executive Director

With increased vaccinations in our community, I am thrilled to share that Jubilee’s COVID protocols are now updated. After a year of strict precautions, we feel it is now safe to take some preliminary steps to bring back more flexibility and in-person social engagement.  The newest updates to the protocol have been highlighted and address:

  • Indoor visiting
  • Shopping
  • Restaurants
  • Haircuts

While outdoor visits are still the safest way to visit and are highly encouraged, indoor visits with precautions are again permitted.  Before an indoor visit, visitors should complete the visitor questionnaire found on our webpage.

Masks, social distancing, and other precautions are still required.

Many people are eager to return to work and day programs. As programs begin to slowly reopen in the future, Jubilee has created a risk assessment tool to guide decision making. We encourage the people we support to discuss these important decisions with their housemates, staff, and families.

Our ability to safely navigate this past year was truly a community effort. Thank you for your ongoing commitment to keeping each other safe.

As always, please feel free to reach out with questions, which can be sent to covid@jubileemd.org.
