A New Years Update from Executive Director Steve Keener
From my home to yours, I wish you a happy and healthy new year. While we begin 2021 much the same as 2020, brighter days are ahead. I am thrilled to share that Jubilee is working closely with CVS to coordinate a vaccination clinic at our office for the people we support and our frontline staff. We eagerly await details from the state on when the vaccine doses will be available for the clinic.
While we anticipate high interest in the vaccine from our vulnerable community, the choice to vaccinate is personal and we know people have questions. Jubilee is here to help you with information you can trust. We want everyone to get vaccinated and be secure in the knowledge that you are doing the right thing for yourself, your family, and your community.
To date, we have had 35 cases of COVID-19 among people we support (10) and staff (25). Risk remains high. We must remain vigilant and follow our safety protocols.
Dr. Michael Greenberg joined Jubilee for our December agency-wide meeting to share vaccine information with our community. We’ll be sharing more fact-based information with you in the weeks ahead. Send us your questions to covid@jubileemd.org and we will get you confidential answers. It is important to understand that you cannot get COVID-19 from the vaccine.
As 2020 draws to a close, I want to thank each member of our community for your unfailing support of Jubilee during the past year. I look forward to being together in person in the new year.
