Jubilee’s Racial Justice Work

Jubilee has long stood for equality as we work for a better life for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities of all races and religions; and the nation’s current reckoning with racial injustice has served as a wake-up call that we too can be doing more to address structural injustices that affect people that receive services from and work for Jubilee. We are taking concrete action to do and be better. Our new Jubilee Racial Justice Advisory Group, along with an anti-racism consultant, will advise and facilitate anti-racism training and discussion groups in the months ahead. We are also actively working to make services more accessible to minority populations here in Montgomery County. We congratulate and thank the volunteer members of the advisory group and look forward to their leadership as we grow together as a community.
