Please join us in mourning the passage of longtime Jubilee community member Sheldon Jenkins, who passed away on March 8. Sheldon was part of Jubilee for 38 years until moving to a nursing home last summer. We’ll remember how Sheldon always greeted everyone with a smile, calling out to his buddies and friends. Jubilee program manager Janeice Green worked with Sheldon for many years, and shared a story that illustrated his positive outlook on life: As he decided to purchase a guitar with some of his extra money, Janeice asked him if he knew how to play the guitar. “No,” he responded, “but maybe I can one day.” Jubilee will hold a memorial service for Sheldon on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the Jubilee office in Kensington.
