New Activities Bloom

Day Trips, Classes and Beach Trip Returns!

As both the weather and pandemic improve, we have added lots of new programs this Spring.

Our Reaching Out program is now open to everyone, and exciting upcoming events include a trip to Brookside Gardens, an Escape Room adventure, and an in-person art class. These programs include a small fee. See a full list of programs on our events calendar. Contact Allison Bohn at abohn@jubileemd.org for more information and to register.

Phase II, our program for active retirees now begins anew. If you are interested in signing up, please contact Nyla Glover at njglover@jubileemd.org.

See the full calendar of events on our online calendar.

We’re also expanding our highly-regarding core values seminars with a certificate program for both staff and the people we support. Learn more about how Jubilee’s core values drive our work through a series of monthly seminars. This unique program kicks off this April with a seminar on respect. If you attend all 12 seminars, you will receive a certificate of achievement. Staff who attend all 12 seminars will also receive a salary raise. Pre-register for the April 26 seminar from 2:30 to 4 PM. Pre-register for the April 27 seminar from 10 to 11:30 AM.

Jubilee’s summer beach trip is back, following a pandemic hiatus. This year, we are planning two trips to accommodate high interest. The trip dates are August 27 to August 31 and August 31 – September 3. Estimated cost is approximately $600 to $700. Included in the cost is a bar-b-q, accommodations, transportation, and housing supplies. Please contact Julia McCune at jmccune@jubileemd.org or at 204-229-6336 with questions. Registration requested by April 8.

Ben Collins, Jubilee’s Client Council President, says “I feel great and wonderful that the beach trip is back! It’s always so much fun, hanging out with good people and doing fun activities. I encourage everyone to come on the beach trip. It’s a great way to make new friends.”
