Introducing Jubilee’s Shining Star

Introducing Jubilee’s new employee recognition program, Jubilee’s Shining Star! This award highlights staff who go above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of the people we support. The monthly winner will be chosen randomly from staff who have been nominated by their peers. To kick off the program, we’re sharing with you our first two Shining Stars.

Tina Ukwe, Program Manager

“As a Christian, I believe that we are here on earth to be the hands and feet of God. Whatever I do, it’s in the service of God including working for the people we support.”

Helen Okoye, Direct Support Professional

“Helen is an exceptional DSP, going above and beyond in the service she provides.  It is evident in her work that she truly cares for Jason, who she supports.  She treats Jason like family, from spending holidays with each other to all of the other little things in between.  I have loved seeing their relationship flourish over the past year, they bring out the best in each other.” – Patricia Green, Program Manager

Executive Director Steve Keener congratulated Tina and Helen, and shared that:

“We know how lucky we are to have dedicated and caring professional staff at Jubilee. We’ve increased pay across the board, enhanced our benefits package, and created the One Job program. With Shining Star we’ve added a special new way to publicly thank our staff and show them how much we care.”

The Shining Star program is in addition to our annual Employee Recognition Awards. Nominations are now open for our Employee Recognition Award and are due by September 1. Family members, people we support, and staff can nominate an employee, volunteer or outstanding community member for these awards by filling out this form.
