Next Step in Jubilee’s Racial Justice Work

Justice is baked into Jubilee’s mission as we work to support adults with disabilities lead full lives. Actively doing justice – both for the people we support and hardworking staff – is one of the core areas of our new strategic plan. Jubilee is focusing its justice work on supporting more adults with disabilities from underserved communities, and integrating anti-racist practices throughout the organization.

As Jubilee’s Racial Justice Advisory Group (RJAG) enters its second year of its work, the focus will be an agency-wide racial justice audit. The goal of the audit is to determine where Jubilee lies on the continuum of equity and anti-racism. It will conclude with a report and recommendations for the future.

Jubilee also just launched an ally group to support our anti-racism efforts.  The Ally Group will focus on the journey of white people toward anti-racism, but membership is open to all. You can learn more about ally groups in this FAQ on White Caucuses
