Staff Embraces Education to Best Support People with Disabilities

Jubilee Celebrates Newest Graduates of DSP II Training Program

Congratulations to the 14 new Jubilee staff graduates of the rigorous DSP II education program! This program teaches advanced problem solving and skills to help direct support professionals best support people with disabilities.

The Maryland Direct Support Professional Training Consortium, which Jubilee helped found, created the DSP II training program as part of its effort to further professionalize the work of disability support staff. This is Jubilee’s 11th group of staff to graduate the DSP II program.

“Jubilee now has 96 graduates of this advanced educational program,” said Melanie Moore, Jubilee’s Learning and Development Manager. “We are working to ensure that our support professionals have an advanced skillset and tool kit to help people with disabilities live with independence and joy in their daily lives.”

Congratulations to our new graduates! This was a tremendous five-month effort, and we are incredibly proud of each of you.
